      Associate Analyst Interview

      Jan 14, 2019
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience

      Application

I interviewed at FHLB Des Moines

      The process took 8 weeks.

      Interview

Please stay away from these guys. First of all, they have outsourced their HR so they don't exactly know what is going on with the hiring. I did an on-site interview (total 5 rounds, met 5 key people from the team) and everyone was impressed with my answers as they all said in feedback after the interview. And, within a week HR told me- the hiring manager has really liked your interview and interested in moving forward but after 4 weeks got a rejection and I have asked the hiring manager for feedback but no response. He just said to apply for other roles at FHLB, as you have a good skill-set. Between these 4 weeks, I have followed up with the recruiter twice: once she told me due to hiring manager calendar she is not getting any response and other time she said it;s holiday time so it's very hard to get in contact with the hiring manager. (Basically, they don't care about other person time and they don't even reimburse any money for on-site interview.) Now, here comes the actual reason what really happened which I got to know from some internal employees as I was curious to know what was the reason for all this drama(they should have simply sent me a system generated email for rejection). The employee told me there is one internal candidate(temp. employee: who joined a few weeks back) who has some good connections inside the bank and that temp. employee got this offer while that person skills are very basic and bit low for this role.
