Invited to a preliminary interview hosted over Zoom at 8am on a workday. Was initially confused because I hadn't remembered applying to an FE Marketing job, but realized that it must've been through one of those LinkedIn "apply for this company through our big service" things. Little skeeved by the fact that they didn't acknowledge this, but whatever. Once I had accepted the interview, I was told that it was actually going to be a group presentation from the Hiring Manager--the 50(?) of us were told to immediately mute as we were talked at for 15 minutes. No description of the position was given but we were told that it was not for the lazy or people who needed flexible hours. It was for HUSTLERS, who were going to GIVE THEIR ALL. Interviewer was incredibly condescending, had a PUA-negging type vibe to him. It was as though if he told us enough that this position was valuable and we probably didn't deserve it, we'd simply HAVE to have it. I was invited to the next round of interviews but decided to pass. If that 15 minutes was any indication, the leadership seems to be a bit self-aggrandizing and, for lack of a better phrase of it, attempts to Beta those starting out in the company. Not my cup of tea.
