I applied online. I interviewed at F.I.R.S.T. Institute (Orlando, FL) in Nov 2022
Interview
I had a phone interview and later an in-person interview with the HR representative and a senior-level staff member. Everyone was friendly, and the interview went smoothly. However, despite informing them of my current salary and desire to advance, I received a job offer with a lower salary than expected.

Question 1
General questions about my workflow as a videographer and editor.
There were three interviews: a group one, a one-on-one (which was actually a two-on-one), and then a panel interview. It was a lengthy process that seemed tedious at the time, but was ultimately SO worth it!

Question 1
How did you use what seemed to be a disadvantage and turn it into an advantage?
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at F.I.R.S.T. Institute (Orlando, FL) in Nov 2019
Interview
I applied online and sent a follow-up e-mail to the program director. He liked my resume and after much follow-up, I got an in-person interview with the program director plus one other instructor/admin. The first interview was pretty standard, asking about my background and experience.
I was offered a second interview just over a week after the first interview. The second interview consisted of a five-minute presentation of me teaching a topic to the two people from the first interview plus three new people not familiar with my area of expertise. They gave me feedback on my content as well as my performance and delivery of the material.
I followed up for a few weeks. The holidays came and went. After initially being passed over for the full-time I was offered a part-time position, which I declined. I eventually got a full-time offer. The compensation was not competitive, so I had to decline.
