      Toronto, ON
      No offer
      Negative experience

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at EvenUp (Toronto, ON) in Jan 2024

      Interview

Pretty standard process, applied online, the recruiter reached out via email, then a screening call, scheduled a team meeting with the hiring manager, the interview went well, and then moved to a panel interview with Data and UI engineers. Before the panel, they sent me one sentence to prepare a case study for. I asked for post feedback, The engineers did not like the presentation "They felt it's unachievable "

      Product Manager Interview

      Nov 28, 2023
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at EvenUp in Nov 2023

      Interview

Pretty standard. Phone screen with a recruiter, speak with the hiring manager, speak with the engineering manager. Everyone that I spoke with was very pleasant, but the EM who ran my interview said that they "had never done this interview before" because they were covering for someone else at the last minute. They also seemed pretty surprised at the basic, quiz-like nature of the questions and confused by the wording of said questions. Ultimately, it seems like the skills that they're looking for in the interviews do not align with what they ask for in the job description. I was also disappointed that I wasn't given time to ask questions during my interviews.
