I was completely qualified for this job - in terms of education and experience. On top of that, I had an amazing referral from a current employee. I had my phone interview and it went great. We talked salary and next steps, and she said she would get back to me in a day or two to set up the next interview. After over a week of hearing nothing I reached out to the recruiter who I had interviewed with for an update, to which I have never received a response. I applied for the position again through the referral and got an auto email that the position was moving forward with another candidate. I don’t know if this is fault of the company or just an incapable recruiter, but it should be something HR is aware of.
