I reached out to the hiring manager who led me to believe that she saw me as a potential asset to the team. We had an initial introductory meeting where she suggested I may be a good fit for several opportunities within the company. When invited to do an interview within the office, while she was nice, this company didn’t seriously appear to be interested in hiring me. I had an interview with the local manager, regional manager, and a couple other people. I got a sense that my environmental rigor and activism may have been a little too dedicated in an Oklahoma environment, but I got zero feedback. I was nervous, I had been job hunting for a while, but I had notes and I’d done research and prep. Feedback would be nice, but most importantly I just in general didn’t feel like they were opening to hiring anyone in a real way.
