      Management Trainee Interview

      Feb 19, 2014
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Stamford, CT
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Enterprise Mobility (Stamford, CT) in Feb 2014

      Interview

During the interview process for Enterprise Rent-A-Car I went through 3-rounds and unfortunately didn't receive an offer. The impression I got while in all of the rounds was they were looking for business majors with extensive sales backgrounds. Having had a background of experience as a Manager and sales I assume my bachelors degree was not congruent with their expectations. The interviewing process is a lengthy one so if you applying out of state be prepared to stay a few weeks in the area (mine was a 3-week process). After my 3rd and final interview with the Regional VP it took Enterprise a week to get back to me, even though they stated they would by Monday, I received an email Friday and had called Wednesday to check the status. Overall the interview process seemed to be chaotic and unstructured with an unprofessional communication method.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Many questions that were asked up until the third round all pertained to sales. They appreciate when you talk about customer service, and interpersonal skills but they really are looking for salesmen. During the initial interview I was asked why I chose my college, degree and what my GPA was. An unexpected and unprofessional question (in my opinion) was 'if I was interviewing with any other companies in the area' 'what those companies were and who I was in contact with' 'lastly why I was apply to two companies at the same time'. The questions overall pertained to sales and how you would help their business.

      Interview

More conversational than a typical interview style making it much more in depth and interesting. As a candidate you also get to know how the person across you made it to where they are now, using the same trainings you would eventually learn.

      Interview

It was an average difficulty interview with the most standard, basic questions. The interviewer had a deadpan, annoyed face and looked and sounded like she didn't want to be there. I didn't prepare for it and didn't pass, but I don't think most people will have a problem if they just prepare beforehand
