      Management Trainee Interview

      Aug 28, 2013
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Declined offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Enterprise Mobility

      Interview

So It is a four Step Process. Within a few days after applying on line I received an email scheduling a phone interview. The phone interview is formulaic. They verify your work/educational history and ask some preliminary behavioral interview questions about customer service, sales, and why you chose the company. I was almost immediately scheduled for an in person interview. The next step in the process was an interview at their regional corporate office with an HR professional. This step is also very formulaic and robotic; I got the distinct feeling that the HR professional had a slew of interviews to do and was just pushing me through the process. I was asked about my customer service and sales experiences in a behavioral format.; i.e. describe a time you sold somebody something despite customer reluctance, describe a time you went above and beyond for a customer, a time you displayed leadership, a time you dealt with an angry customer, and what professional accomplishment are you most proud of (I was surprised by the last one). As I mentioned before, the interview process seemed very robotic and I did not think I was doing well. However, at the end of the interview I asked about their company, why those two individuals were successful, and what I could do in an interview or on my resume to make myself a more appealing candidate. It was at that point I was told I would be contacted for a 3rd interview. The third interview takes place at a branch office with a manager and an assistant manager. This was a lot of fun. I was able to see how an enterprise branch is run and what the busiest time in the morning is like. I got to see how serious they are about customer service and result driven sales. I asked a lot of questions despite the fact that it seemed like everyone was too busy to answer. I remained upbeat and smiled a lot, The interview itself was a lot more natural and I was able to actually engage in conversation with my interviewers and enjoyed the process. These questions were similar to the first interview questions but focussed more on motivation and personality type in addition to past experiences. A difficult question I had to answer was if I had ever developed somebody. The final interview was at the same regional office as my first in-person, but with an area manager. This interview was also a lot of fun but was no cake walk. I was again asked why I chose enterprise and about my sales/customer service experience, as well as long term goals. At the end of the interview I was offered the job on the spot. Overall tips: Remain upbeat, competitive, ambitious, and confident. Reaffirm your desire for hard work and merit based advancement and your commitment to customer service. They are serious about customer service. I actually was really excited about the opportunity for work for enterprise and think their MT program provides an excellent opportunity for a young professional willing to bust her/his ass in order to do a good job. Know what you are getting yourself in for, know the company, and know the culture (its all on their website), then cater your interview and persona to be compatible with it.

      Interview

More conversational than a typical interview style making it much more in depth and interesting. As a candidate you also get to know how the person across you made it to where they are now, using the same trainings you would eventually learn.

      Interview

It was an average difficulty interview with the most standard, basic questions. The interviewer had a deadpan, annoyed face and looked and sounded like she didn't want to be there. I didn't prepare for it and didn't pass, but I don't think most people will have a problem if they just prepare beforehand
