I applied through my school's Handshake profile. They don't ask for anything but a resume, but I also sent in a cover letter attached with it. The deadline for this application round on Handshake was about 1 day away, and I don't know if that was a factor, but one day later I got an email asking for a Skype interview.
The interview was rather simple, about 20 minutes, just things you would expect (I guessed like 90% of the questions beforehand and was rather prepared). Why you want to work there, why this country/city (in my case I was applying for Chengdu, China), how would you handle the transition, etc. They also asked me some questions about the experience on my resume (I have a good amount of professional tutoring experience) and all in all it was very straightforward. To be perfectly honest, it seemed like the interview was just to make sure I could speak/present myself well, along with making sure I knew what I was in for. The interviewer was very nice and professional and kept in contact with me to answer any questions I may have even after the interview. About three days later, I got an official confirmation that I got the job.
