I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Encantos in Jan 2022
Interview
The interview process was organic and easy. It included a portfolio review and some talk about background and what I was looking for in my next role. The interviewer was kind and it seemed like they were looking for more of a personality fit rather than a bunch of correct answers to technical questions.

Question 1
Can you share your past work and walk us through your process?
The interview consisted of a conversation with the hiring manager, which went well. I was then asked to complete an extensive work task (write 3-4 pages of a children's book and evaluate a 30-minute tv show). I spent a lot of time on these tasks and didn't hear anything for over a week after I submitted them. I emailed the hiring manager, who told me that they would get back to me in a couple of weeks. They have since ghosted. I have not heard from them at all. I have no problem completing work tasks as a part of the interview process, but ghosting a candidate after them is unprofessional and disrespectful.

Dear candidate,
Thank you for your feedback. We’d like to start off by acknowledging your review and apologizing for your interview experience with us. That’s not how we like to do things and prefer to give a world-class experience to all of our candidates. We will take this feedback and ensure it doesn’t happen to others in the future. We are grateful you were able to share this with us. If you have any questions or wish to discuss them personally, please feel free to contact me directly at america@encantos.co.
I was presented by their vendor to Encantos after completing two rounds of interviews (with the Vendor). I was supposedly interviewed by a new hire who reports to the CEO. Initial feedback from the company was that I was an "overkill".
Instead, a director from the product group interviewed me. The interviewer was relaxing on a Sofa at her home. When she realized that I am seriously interviewing, she sat straight and spoke with me. This interviewer, had in fact a very good conversation and told me that I can do the job and that the next step is to interview with the senior management. The Vendor reacted to me saying that is not the case as I already interviewed with the hiring manager.
Then, without any additional interviews, I got feedback that was completely opposite to what I was told in the interview - not only that the interviewer, wrote harsh and false appraisals. This feedback really shows that this interviewer is unfit to manage. So this interview served the purpose to damage the initial feedback of "overkill" and screen out.
There are serious moral and leadership issues with this company. I dodged the bullet.
