      Interview

Same open positions from more than one year, none has been hired . The hiring process is not an actual test but it is a way to steal other people ideas and get free and skilled labor. For all people who get fooled by this company, we may join in suing this company

We always appreciate constructive feedback, but we are very disappointed to read how this review completely misrepresents Empatica's values and approach to recruitment. It saddens us to learn that your experience with us caused you to believe that we would ever take advantage of our candidates. Our recruitment process has been designed to scout that great human talent that can lead the company into generating a meaningful impact into society. That is the main reason why it is deeply structured and with scrupulous attention to detail. The assignments are a necessary step for us to evaluate the technical seniority of candidates. We are a fast-growing startup, with an equally fast-growing team. Some of our vacancies have been kept open for an extended period of time because we’re actively looking for multiple candidates who can fill the position advertised. For a truthful insight to what it's like to work at Empatica, please refer to our Employee reviews :) Best, Empatica People Team

      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Empatica (Milan) in Sep 2017

      Interview

After you apply, based on your CV and cover letter, the Empatica team may give you a test where you should show you skills. For me the test had four questions that were very technical in nature. I had ten days to complete the test and if you want to give complete and thought-out answers you really need that time. The next step is to have a skype interview (if they are satisfied with your answers). As the company is small, they value not only your professional skills, but also your personality and work ethics. This interview is used to evaluate if you will be a good fit at the company. If this goes well, you will be invited to come for one day to Empatica. The day is used as a trial run, you can see how and what they do and they can see how you would fit in. The day is spent going through your test answers, their code, working on a small assignment and talking to other coworkers. Finally, if they are satisfied with your performance on all fronts, they will call you in a week or two with an offer. This was one of the longest selection processes I ever had and it really is a process. After I applied and finished my test, I had four interviews and talked to around ten people, discussing not only my skills and knowledge, but also my ethics, interests, goals and so on. The whole thing took over two months. Even though the selection process was so long, I am happy about the overall experience. The test was interesting and challenging, the people are pleasant and helpful, the offices are nice and the trial day was fun.
