I applied online. I interviewed at Embitel Technologies (Bengaluru)
Interview
I had two rounds — one technical and one techno-managerial — and cleared both. Afterwards, I was asked to visit the office for the HR round. Everything went well and I was informed that the offer would be released immediately.
However, after waiting for two days without any response, I contacted the HR. That’s when I was told that the position had suddenly been put on hold. This was very disappointing, especially after putting in so much effort to clear all the rounds and even visiting the company in person with high hopes.
Situations like this can create a lot of uncertainty for candidates. It made me think about how risky it would have been if I had resigned based on their assurance — I could have ended up jobless. Companies should be more transparent and make firm decisions before scheduling interviews. Informing candidates that a position is “on hold” only after completing all rounds is not acceptable and can seriously affect someone’s career and mental peace.
Because of this kind of uncertainty, I even dropped the idea of switching jobs altogether.
Because of this experience, I have decided not to attend any future interviews with Embitel.
