Interviewed in Feb 2025. Had a great conversation with VP, then given take home assignment that took multiple hours to complete. I sent it in and never heard back. Even if I was being rejected, I would have appreciated and expected a rejection email. I followed up to tell them my feedback. I was asked to resubmit the assignment since they "couldn't locate it". Sent again and never heard back. Extremely unprofessional, I dont even believe there was a real position open.

Interview
2 30 minute interviews, then a minimum 5 hour take home assignment to develop a react native app according to spec. I spent 10 hours and put a lot of thought into it, expecting to present it to a panel. 48 hours later received a curt email saying a “deep dive” and code review had been performed and they would not be moving forward. Responded asking for more feedback, no reply. My takeaway, more of a guess, is that I was focusing more on design and telling a story and they were looking for code perfection.

The assignment is very challenging. It took me a lot of efforts. I am pretty sure I did great in the assignment. This company rejected me without disclosing any reason. It's very disrespectful to the candidates. This assignment has some feature that they plan to add into their app. I can't help thinking they just want it without paying a dime.
