I applied online. I interviewed at East West Independent (Atlanta, GA (US)).

    Interview

Horrible experience! I had read previous posts about their interviews and thought maybe they had not received an offer and were bitter. I WAS SO WRONG! The space where they have applicants waiting in is similar to a newly opened doctor's office. They try to bring in so many applicants that people were having to stand around. There had to have been at least 15 people in the small space. Then, they make you wait 45-60 minutes after your scheduled interview time. Very unprofessional right from the start. During the first interview, they are extremely vague about what exactly it is they do and what they are looking to hire you for. This interview lasts maybe 5 minutes so not sure why so many people are being made to wait so long after their scheduled time. Then, during the 2nd 'interview,' you are paired with two people who already work there who take you to a store like Wal-Mart where they FINALLY explain that they are selling bundles for cable companies. That's right. NOT a marketing or advertising job like they post on LinkedIn. They are those people in the dark corners of Wal-Mart and Target that you avoid eye contact with. You spend the entire day observing them attempting to push bundles, taking calls, and learn about how the company is run. They also put you through a little test where you get $1 to buy anything and come back and try to sell it to one of them. If they like you then after they finish at the store you all go back to take a test based on the information they told you. However, they don't stay in the room so a lot of people were looking at their notes anyways. If you get good results on this test you finally speak with the owner of the company. He is very nice and, as a business-owner seemed professional. However, to the poor gullible soul that may not understand everything he says, it could be easy to miss the fact that it is very obviously a pyramid scheme. When he finished interviewing me, telling me that it wasn't salary based as it is posted on LinkedIn but commision based, and explaining how the business worked (they spend a few months to train you to be able to go somewhere else and open your own marketing business, under the company's name) he went out to speak with the other owner and one of the associates I had been paired with. They all come back in and the 1st owner says how the associate had given me a shining review and offered a position. After the experience I had with them I declined within the day. They are shady, unprofessional, vague, and luring in people starving for a paycheck. DO NOT GO THERE!

Straight forward and transparent. Quick, to the point. Got companies history which I was glad to hear cause I never had heard of them. Went on a second interview to see how they market and understand the progression

    Application

I applied online. I interviewed at East West Independent (Atlanta, GA (US)) in June 2017.

    Interview

Don't waste your time. They're not straightforward about what exactly the job entails AT ALL. you'll have to repeatedly ask them about what exactly it is that you will be doing. There were over 20 people in the room waiting to be interviewed from several different companies all in the same waiting room. Posting their opportunity on LinkedIn creates a false sense of professionalism. All roles with this company are essentially commission based. If you're a real professional looking for a summer gig, please don't waste your time. From my perspective, this company preys on desperate people looking for work.

    Marketing Interview

Anonymous Interview Candidate in Marietta, GA (US)

    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied through other source. I interviewed at East West Independent (Marietta, GA (US)) in June 2017.

    Interview

I didn't apply for this job, they contacted me through my posted resume. Don't waste your time. The entire setup felt like a scam. The exterior door had a sign that said "Marketing", and once inside, I was asked "Which company are you interviewing with?", which immediately gave me the impression that this company was operating under more than one name. The front room had one desk, with a "receptionist", who took my resume, and had me fill out a really superficial "application" that only asked a couple of vague questions about my education and prior employment. The entire office space appeared to be hastily thrown together with rental furniture and had dirty carpeting. At least ten other people had the same interview time as I did, so we all waited for 30-45 minutes in a front room that looked like a bad porn set. The interviewer was pleasant enough, but I'm still unclear as to what exactly this company does. Apparently they were "hugely impressed" with me and want me to come back between 12:30-7:30 for a 2nd interview/unpaid training.... no thanks... too weird!

    Management Trainee Interview

    Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at East West Independent (Atlanta, GA (US)) in June 2017.

    Interview

I was called by someone who encountered my resume on Indeed. This was not a job I actually applied for, nor was it ever made clear what the job actually entailed. They operate out of the same office as a bunch of other business, the office is poorly marked and kind of difficult to find. All the companies use the same secretary. They ask you specifically to bring a hard copy of your resume then have you fill out a form that basically restates your resume. Had to wait 20-30 minutes past my scheduled interview time. When I got called back, the guy barely asked anything about my actual experience or education and pretty much spent the entire 10 minutes giving me the hard sell on how great the company is. Lots of buzzwords and phrases like "promote from within" and "fortune 500". Got called back for a second interview, which would involve "shadowing" someone for 6 hours?? Seems like a good way to exploit 6 hours of unpaid labor to me. Will be calling back to politely decline. In the future I'll remember to check glassdoor's interview reviews beforehand.

    Interview

The initial interview was about 30 mins wait and 5 mins in person conversational view. Basically, just you look professional you would get in the 2nd round. The second "interview" is 12 hours long, you get to engage a full day closely with your manager and see what is like to work there. Basically, you work as an infinity sales rep in a walmart, dressing professionally with heels was definitely not a good idea.

    "Event Coordinator" Interview

    Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied through other source. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at East West Independent (Atlanta, GA (US)) in May 2017.

    Interview

All the interview reviews about this company are true. This was a complete waste of time! I just left an interview today. The building was hard to find, there were about 20 people there for interviews who have all been waiting about an hour if not longer, and there were several companies working in the same small office space.

So after waiting an hour for my interview, he gave me an overview of the company but I had to keep asking questions to get an idea of what the responsibilities were in the job description. The "event coordinator" position they called me about was really just marketing sales. They really need to actually tell people the real job description! He didn't even ask me about my experience or anything else relevant to the job.
