      Frontend Engineer Interview

      Jun 9, 2024
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Houston, TX
      Declined offer
      Neutral experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I interviewed at EOG (Houston, TX)

      Interview

Everything was standard (phone screen, technical competence screen) until the final round. Then I got invited to an interview where multiple senior executives interviewed me simultaneously in a conference room which I found somewhat intimidating. Also, last round was supposed to be behavioral, but asked some pretty complex system design questions.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Would you rather design an application using VS Code or design VS Code itself? How would you design it?
