I applied for a position of freelance animation artist, in mid 2013. The interview consistent of a brief talk with the animation assistant cordinator (himself a freelancer) and a test at the animation desk, so they could evaluate my work. It was a very laid back experience, people were really nice, and if you know what you are doing (in this case, the test for the animation assistant position) you are pretty much hired.
