      Associate Interview

      May 22, 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      London, England
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Dore Partnership (London, England) in Apr 2025

      Interview

Dore Partnership has a very rigorous interview process, with multiple video calls before having an in office visit. The interviews are very similar in structure - elevator pitch, why executive search?, why Dore? They are also very specific about the company lingo and keen on seeing your motivations in staying with the company for a long time.

Why Executive Search? Why Dore Partnership? Why a boutique firm?

      Interview

Pretty straightforward interview. Scheduled with the recruiter/HR first and it was a 30 min interview. Asked basic questions. Never heard back, even though I followed up asking for feedback on my interview.

      Associate Interview

      Feb 1, 2026
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Dore Partnership in Jan 2026

      Interview

I had a phone screen with HR followed by an in-person interview. Scheduling the second round took longer than expected, and while I was told I would be meeting with a Principal, I ended up speaking with an Associate who was very kind and professional. Unfortunately, my in-person interview with the CHRO was concerning. The majority of questions focused on my personal background rather than my qualifications. I was asked what my parents do, where my siblings live, whether I planned to commute from home or live in the city after graduating, and was told “I’m not very familiar with state schools in the area” before being asked to explain my university. Notably, there were no questions about my prior experience or the finance firms I’ve worked at, despite those being the focus of other interviews I’ve had in the industry. These questions felt inappropriate, class-coded, and disconnected from assessing professional capability. I left feeling evaluated on my personal background which was disappointing given their stated emphasis on a merit-based environment that is ``proud'' to work people from varied backgrounds.

      Question 1

HR asked about my family background and personal circumstances instead of my professional experience and interest in search, while the Associate asked more role-related questions.
