      Analyst Strategy and Analysis Interview

      Jan 27, 2011
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Boston, MA
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Digitas (Boston, MA) in Jan 2011

      Interview

First I was given a phone interview. They called 45 mins late. They moved me on. I got another phone interview and they asked basic questions "can you tell me a time when you were a leader, when you did research, when you had trouble..etc". I was then flown out the next week for an person to person interview. I was asked on "case question" it was "how many barbershops are there in the U.S" I aced this. Even when the turned me down the recruiter commented on how well i did with this case. In all they flew me out early one morning and flew me back late that night and in the process I saw 4 people. All of them asked me the same types of questions "why digitas? what do you do in your free time? what is your biggest failure" Not real mind boggling questions. Also as a side note, they did pay for my flight to and from their office (which was nice) but make sure that you have cash on hand for the cab service. They had no one there waiting for me, I had to pay for my taxi service both ways, and I had never been to Boston before so I had no idea how much they would cost, or that Boston had about $8 in tolls from the airport alone...it was a surprise but luckily I had prepared. Finally, the reason they gave for not hiring me was that I "didn't have enough experience" and that although the team loved me and thought I would be a nice addition they "didn't think I could hit the ground running". I was upset but at this point any feedback is nice to have.

      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Digitas

      Interview

Screening phone interview that lasted approx. 30 mins with recruiter. Followed up shortly thereafter to schedule 4 1-1 interviews in-office with a mix of challenging questions and case scenarios. Everyone I spoke to was very smart and down-to-earth which made the process enjoyable overall. Conversations provided a lot of insight into the culture and opportunities for growth.

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Digitas (Boston, MA) in Sep 2016

      Interview

I applied for the position on the company website and heard back from a recruiter rather soon after. Scheduled a call and spoke with the recruiter who went over standard inital phone interview questions, fairly basic. He then told me he was going to set me up to talk to one of their directors the very next day. Spoke with the director the next morning who wanted to know a little more about why I wanted to join the S&A team and why Digitas/tech agency world as I was in a different industry. Both calls went great and a day later the recruiter reached out to schedule time for me to come into their Boston office for four in-person interviews. Came in two weeks later for the interviews. The office if really cool, much different than what I was used to. First interview was fit/behavior, second was a case interview, third was fit/behavior, and the fourth was supposed to be a long case study but actually was a normal fit/behavior. Overall great experience. The recruiter was helpful and responsive throughout the entire process which was also great.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Digitas (Chicago, IL) in Feb 2016

      Interview

Phonecall. Interviewer didn't know anything about me such as my major or what college I graduated from. Also kept asking me for how much money I make in my current role and an exact number for how much I would like to make, which was really inappropriate for my first interview.
