I applied online. I interviewed at Deutsche Bank (Berlin) in Jul 2023
Interview
I applied through the portal after seeing the add on linkedIn and received the interview invite within 10 days. It started with a brief introduction with 2 interviewers who asked nothing about the projects I worked on or other things. Gave me a brief introduction about the project and asked me to ask critical questions for example, relocation and remote work which I had no idea fell into critical questions. I asked a few questions about the project reluctant to answer but answered anyways since I asked and was told we can discuss this later. The coding question was easy - to implement the interface for the payment gateway. The interviewer kept mentioning there is no need to think complicated. It is a simple code but was unable to explain the task. The task was to implement methods for create account, get balance, transfer funds etc. Tried asking about the source of data, validation checks etc but apparently it was not necessary at all. After failing to understand the concepts by me, he was kind enough to show me the actual implementation with the help of Java Map. The interview ended with me being unable to solve the question without further discussion which I guess I am pretty happy about.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Deutsche Bank (Pune) in Dec 2024
Interview
After clearing all the technical rounds, I was told by HR to wait two weeks for the fitment round, as the hiring manager was on leave. However, I later learned that the position would be filled by an internal candidate, so the fitment round was cancelled. If that was the case, why was I even called for a walk-in drive? It was a complete waste of time.
