      Account Executive Interview

      Feb 27, 2025
      Anonymous employee
      Savannah, GA
      Accepted offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Detritus (Savannah, GA) in Jun 2024

      Interview

First interview is on the phone with the HR/Office Manager to describe the role and ask basic experience questions. 2nd interview was with the 2 owners/CEOs in person, but I heard this has changed to be with the newer CFO and Sales Director now. Company is small and newer, and they'll use their "we're a start up and new company" as an excuse for needing to be adaptable for the constant changes in policies and dysfunction. The interview with the owners was 90% selling me on the company and position which was mostly lies, especially regarding OTE, schedule, work/life balance, and culture. That should have been a red flag before accepting the offer.
