I applied online. I interviewed at Deswik (Brisbane) in Sep 2024
Interview
1. Phone call from HR (15 - 30 mins) 2. 1 hour general interview with the PM and dev on the team (in-person) 3. 1 hour psychometric test and 2.5 hour code test (in-person) 4. Architecture interview
After the third stage, I had already given them 4.5+ hours of my time, only had 10 minutes to ask questions about the position, and the only feedback I received was "You interviewed very well but we've gone with someone more experienced" which is fair enough but it could have been streamlined better. Everyone in the process was friendly but it left a sour taste. Take home code test or online interviewing could've been done instead.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
General interview was mostly about my experience and past projects. Code test was an applicable and work-oriented Python task, not using any frameworks like Django etc. and was not a data structures and algorithms task.
