Interview Experience at Delta Capita – DevOps Engineer (Pune Location)
⭐☆☆☆☆ (1 out of 5 stars)
Interview Process:
The entire interview process stretched over a month and included:
1 Telephonic Technical Discussion
1 Hands-on Task
1 Virtual Interview
My Experience:
Overall, the experience was frustrating and unprofessional. After each round, I was ghosted and had to follow up multiple times just to get basic updates. There was no acknowledgement even after I submitted the hands-on task. I waited for three weeks without hearing anything, only to suddenly receive a call asking to schedule the next round ASAP. The lack of planning and transparency was evident throughout.
In the initial call, the recruiter even asked me not to apply elsewhere while the process was ongoing, which felt unrealistic and confusing, especially considering the slow response and poor communication from their side.
The final virtual interview was especially disappointing. The interviewers didn’t seem familiar with the actual job description. The questions were generic and more aligned with a customer support or L1 support role, rather than a DevOps engineering position. It felt like they were reading from a script with no technical depth. They weren’t open to discussion, often cutting me off or disregarding my answers, and seemed to lack understanding of the tech stack entirely.
Final Thoughts:
This was one of the most disappointing interview experiences I’ve had. Lack of professionalism, poor communication, and a disconnect between the job role and the interview panel made the process frustrating. I wouldn’t recommend pursuing DevOps roles here unless they make significant improvements to their hiring process.
