I received an invite in the morning to do a panel interview with this org. I replied to the invite within an hour of receiving that I could do the interview on the one day and time they provided. I did let the person who emailed me know that since the job was no longer on the website I originally found it on, that I would need a copy of the job description to prepare. The interview was scheduled for Friday, and this was on Wednesday. I had plans after work on Thursday so wanted it to prepare on Wednesday night. That's called being a professional. Six hours passed without received the link to the video meeting or a copy of the job description, so I followed up late afternoon, no reply. I assumed I would get the link the next day on Thursday as the interview was supposed to be early afternoon Friday. No communication. I sent another email to the original contact AND left an email, but no response. What kind of organization does this? A BAD one! I tried the general number of the org and no one answered. I left my name, contact info and why I was calling and said as I don't have the link or the description this meeting will need to be postponed. No response from that either. I called the main number one last time and this time a woman answered who had apparently got my message, but could not be bothered to return my message. She even had the nerve to try to defend the initial person who had contacted me to invite me to interview, she literally said, "In her defense she has been out of the office." That person was there both the day she contacted me and the following day, and in 2 days she couldn't send the meeting invite? I asked if she was sick or in an accident, nope, she was just out. The next week 5 business days after this all started I got a call from a manager within the org saying she, "didn't want to wait to schedule an interview with me." What, you and your whole org seemed fine with rudely keeping me waiting. This person did not apologize for the extremely poor communication and that shows you how unprofessional and uncaring even management is there. I scheduled an interview at my convenience, and got her to provide the listing. However, the listing she sent said hybrid on it, which was not on the original posting or I would not have applied as I have been 100% telecommuting since 2018. I wrote to her saying I lived in the state where they are based but 3 hours away. She encouraged me to have the interview anyway as if they would be willing for someone to work remotely. Today just 30 min. before the scheduled interview I got a message they were cancelling as they decided they really wanted someone in the office. Rude to the very end. Not just unprofessional but extremely disorganized, and disrespectful of my time. If this is what they are like in the interview process, you can only imagine what it would be like to work for them. No one deserves to be treated so poorly, so run, don't walk, away from this organization. Not worth your time to even apply.
