I applied online. I interviewed at Daybreaker (New York, NY) in May 2023
Interview
Unprofessional environment and one of the founders seems like a micromanaged if you were to work with her. She seemed to take pride in making her employees start their work from square 1. It just sounds like poor communication and lack of teamwork to me. Also, the idea of feminine and graphic design was wild.

What has your previous design experience been like?
I applied in-person. I interviewed at Daybreaker in Nov 2021
Interview
I connected with Tim Patch, COO & Co-founder, in regards to this position. I first introduced myself to him at a Daybreaker event and followed up with him via email. He was happy to receive my resume, and as the "next step before an interview" he asked me to complete a writing sample. The sample was to craft an email invite, a social post, and website copy for one of their events. I completed the samples, sent them to Tim less than 48 hours later, and never heard back. I sent him 2 follow-up emails, but he never replied; he completely "ghosted" me. Even if my work wasn't up to their standards, I would have appreciated a response or merely an acknowledgement of the time and effort I put into the writing samples.

Really great, super casual and made me feel really comfortable! There were two rounds so you could get to know the team / how you fit in in the environment!
