      Technical Recruiter Interview

      Jan 31, 2019
      Anonymous interview candidate
      New York, NY
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at DXC Technology (New York, NY) in Jan 2019

      Interview

I was contacted through an email asking for ME to call the recruiter. Being a recruiter myself, I found that a little odd- so my response was to ask what time I should call as I did not know this person. I assumed the call would last 30 minutes give or take. It wound up going over an hour, which was fine since I was getting some solid information regarding the practice and the role itself. I was immediately put through the 2nd and 3rd round of interviews and told that "they move quickly" here and it wouldn't be out of the question for me to expect an offer by Friday (It was a Monday). As a recruiter, I like moving candidates through the process quickly if I feel they are a fit so was initially very impressed with this idea. All 3 interviews took place (with some interviewers being late or rushing through the call) but overall I was still very interested in the role. I waited a few days and reached out to who I assumed was my point of contact, the first recruiter I spoke with. I had asked if she needed anything additional from me or if there additional steps ( I was told there would only be 3 interviews, but figured maybe there was an extra one thrown in since this all took place so quickly) I got a response two days later from the recruiter saying that she was waiting on next steps. I thanked her for the update and kept quiet. Fast forward another week and a half. Still nothing. I finally sent a polite email asking if I was still being considered a candidate for the spot or if she could provide any feedback if I was not selected. Silence. I have no ill feelings towards the company and really enjoyed my interviewers and learning about DXC but I feel that there is room to grow in there candidate experience. I deal with a workload that is pretty extreme and always find the time to send an email to candidates whether good or bad. Value people who have put in time for interviews, made schedule changes to move quickly through the process and most importantly let people know where they fell short. Candidates can't grow if they aren't provided feedback.
