I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at DPS Telecom in Aug 2024

      Interview

I recently interviewed with DPS Telecom, and my experience was far from positive. The entire process was tedious and poorly organized, taking nearly 8 hours, including long waiting periods with little to no communication. The interview included a series of tests that felt outdated and irrelevant for the role I was applying for, including a very easy MS Word and Excel test, a typing test, an IQ test, a whiteboard challenge, and an Arduino challenge. The sheer number of assessments, combined with the low wages offered—just $17 an hour—made the experience feel like a poor investment of time and effort. Upon arrival, I was also given a brochure that subtly promoted a culture of overtime, which immediately raised concerns about work-life balance. To add to the frustration, there was a major miscommunication regarding my status in the process. I was mistakenly marked as having withdrawn from consideration, resulting in my work not being graded. Overall, I’m grateful that the universe showed me that I deserve much better as a Master's graduate in Computer Science. DPS Telecom’s interview process made it clear that my skills and experience are better suited for a company that values its candidates and employees more highly.
