The process for standard where round 1 was a 30 minutes interview with Hiring Managers, where questions related my current role, experience were asked. Additionally, question related to the potential role of Total Rewards, and why I want to work for this role. Second round was slightly shorter, and it was with the skip level manager, where a similar questions related to my current experience and TC was asked. After the 2nd round I was offered the role in in 1-2 days, but the biggest grievance was they were offering a flat % hike on current CTC even though I had clearly told them my expectations, and in the Job Posting a salary range was mentioned. The offer at hand was 1 LPA lower than the lower bound, and the recruiter told me in DIL they simply cant offer beyond this range. Apart from the CTC not making sense as I had to relocate and go from WFH to WFO all 5 days, it also ideologically didn't make sense to join in a role of Total Rewards where such bureaucratic rules are are defined, which contradicts their own job posting. Also the recruiter had made a mistake in share the the CTC, as they only deducted employer's contribution, and not employee's, which I only had to correct. The lack of professionalism that such CTC offers being done via WhatsApp, and that so making such typos, further made me lose trust in the HR team of DIL. Also they wanted me resign and join in 30 days, but they were not willing to share Offer Letter until I join, but only a Letter of Intent, which was also weird as companies share offer letter after a candidate is selected and they are accepting the offer, and appointment letter once they join. The process of DIL Hiring Team and HR Team felt very archaic and stagnated as a whole, even though the role at hand was exciting, it didn't really give me any confidence to join that so at a lower CTC was shared in Job Posting.
