I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at DICK'S Sporting Goods (Akron, OH) in Apr 2011
Interview
Met with the store manager and he provided me with information about the position before we got into the questions. Fairly laid back interview, questions were not extremely hard, and the flow of our conversation went well. After explaining a little about myself and the experience that I had in the game of golf we started chatting about what the day to day activities would bring if I was hired. I enjoyed his honesty about the position because some employers are not as transparent when it comes to responsibilities.

I interviewed at DICK'S Sporting Goods (Torrance, CA)
Interview
Short and Easy. Asked about availability, golf experience such as handicap, clubs, and how much I play. It was a part-time job so I didn't stress too much. It's true that I love and play golf so answers were coming from the heart and interview was more enjoyable than other places.
I interviewed at DICK'S Sporting Goods (Merriam, KS)
Interview
Asks about basic golf knowledge and retail experience. Walks you around the store to meet staff and see how you interact on the floor. As long as you’re somewhat sociable and able to speak with new people you’ll be fine.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at DICK'S Sporting Goods in Jun 2024
Interview
Overall, the few questions took less than 15 minutes for both parts of the interview. One with another employee, then the next with at least an assistant manager, and the department leader on site.
