I applied to a senior account manager posting and they reached out to me for a project manager position. They never sent me the job description ahead of time and there wasn’t a posting for this job on the website. The interviewer was 5 minutes late which is okay she lost track of time. They were also not a project manger but a senior account manager. They tried to explain the job duties to me. The workload for this position seemed extensive and could be fit for two to three people. The overall interview felt like I was not provided enough to be properly prepared. Interviewer was not aware of the full interview process and thought there would be a project or test, and at least two to three more interviews. I requested information on benefits and salary and got it from the HR team member. Due to not having marketing experience (I have other business experience) they would only provide 45-48k annual salary. This is half of market rate for project managers and what I currently make. I am extremely disappointed in the lack of compensation provided for the amount of workload advertised.
