      Software Engineer Interview

      Feb 24, 2021
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Edinburgh, Scotland
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Current Health (Edinburgh, Scotland)

      Interview

8 stages of interview (meeting 8 different people) before being turned down for the role. Technical test was custom which is nice but still 8 stages is excessive! Heard nothing for several weeks after.

      Question 1

Why did you pick REST for your APIs?

Thank you for taking the time to review the interview process here. As we are a small, very collaborative company it is important that you meet multiple people from the team you will be working with, also having the opportunity to meet and ask questions to peers we find is a good thing. The interview is 4 stages not 8, however you will meet anywhere between 6-8 people in the process. Apologies it took so long to get back to you post interview, but we appreciate you interviewing with us. All the best Current Health

      Software Engineer Interview

      Sep 15, 2021
      Anonymous interview candidate
      London, England
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Current Health (London, England) in Sep 2021

      Interview

It is total 5 interview stages. Pure waste of time. You spend a lot of time meeting multiple people from the organization including the CTO. Almost all of them were new joiners . Be careful you will be asked the same question multiple times from different people.Like tell us a case that something went wrong in the project you worked. Tell us how you dealt with conflicts in the team. How did you deal with disagreements? What is an ideal day in the office for you. Try to have more than one examples in your mind for questions like that as they rejected me with an excuse that i mentioned same examples from my past to different people. Then they considered me mid level and not a senior. While from what i understood from my conversation with devs i had much more experience in some of the things they were working on than them. They are a startup mess with no respect to our time and efforts. I had to email them 3 times to get a response.

Many thanks for taking the time to write a review, and I am sorry that you were not happy with the process. Yes you do get to meet with a number of people from the Engineering team, and also have the opportunity to speak with our CTO which we think is a good thing as the people you are talking to are future team mates. These are people that you will be working with on a day to day basis, also it's a great opportunity to ask questions to peers who are doing the same job we will be hiring you for. We have taken your comments on board re repetition, this is the first we have heard of this however thanks for putting on our radar so we can ensure it does not happen in the future. I can assure you that we value everyones time who interview with us. As you can appreciate we interview a number of people and not everyone can interview on the same day so unfortunately sometimes there can be a 2/3 day delay to get full feedback to you. Again thanks for your comments, I wish you all the best and again thank you for your interest in Current Health. The Talent Team.
