I interviewed at Cultivate Behavioral Health & Education (Madison, WI)
Interview
The initial meeting was with a regional intake professional over the phone. This interview focused on getting an overview of my experience and education as well as my guiding values and ethics. I was immediately offered the option of a second interview. The second interview took place a week later wherein the clinical manager sat down with me in a one-on-one interview to further get to know my guiding principles when working with children. This interview was scheduled to be an hour long but, the conversation was so invigorating that we ended up sitting there an additional 30 minutes. I was immediately offered a position with the option to join the apprenticeship program when the next cohort started. I was thrilled to accept, and it continues to be one of the best decisions I've ever made professionally.

I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Cultivate Behavioral Health & Education (Bee Caves, TX) in Jan 2024
Interview
After a fantastic and positive phone interview, I was invited to interview at the location in Bee Cave, TX. The entire 40 minute interview I did my best to be positive and shared my background that was more than enough experience for the position, but Lydia the woman that was doing the interview had a very negative way to ask nearly every question. Nearly ever question started off with a difficult situation that would be encountered periodically for a job like this, but she did it in a very condescending way. As if me (or anyone else interviewing for the position) wouldn't know what they were getting into. No matter how many times I would reply with a positive example of a past similar experience that didn't make me leave a job, she just kept with those kind of questions. It was very dissapointing and despite it being a fantastic organization from the tour I got and the research I did, I makes you start second guessing wanting to work there.
