Got reached out by a recruiter on Linkedln about an open position.
Interview 1: Very chill and relaxing. The recruiter was nice and curious about my journey as an animator. While the recruiter admitted they didn't know much about softwares like Maya or UE, I was glad to teach them more about it. The questions were also simple. They ranged from personal hobbies, favorite games, future goals, what software I use, etc. Overall, the interview lasted about an hour.
At the end she said I matched the criteria and would move me to the second interview.
Interview 2: I had to sign an NDA before joining the meeting. This time I got to meet the lead animator on the project. We mostly got into the technical and artistic side of animation. Pretty chill guy who loved his craft and was curious to get to know me.
In the end, while I fit their criteria, I asked for a larger salary than what they had in mind, and they had to drop me.
While I may not have gotten the job, the recruiter was kind enough to have a follow up dm with me on Linkedln about what I could've done better and given me wonderful feedback for future interviews.
