My overall experience with the interview process for the Database Administrator role at Crossover was negative. The process itself was thorough and included multiple stages: a Cognitive Aptitude Test, English Proficiency Test, skills assessments, and interviews. After successfully passing all these stages, I received an offer and even began the onboarding process.
However, after starting onboarding, I was unexpectedly asked to complete an additional cognitive test. Unfortunately, I did not pass this test, and as a result, the offer was revoked. This was disappointing and frustrating, as I had already received a formal offer and invested considerable time and effort into the process. The sudden introduction of a new assessment at the very end, after onboarding had begun, felt misleading and created false hope.
If additional assessments are necessary, they should be communicated upfront during the initial stages of the process, not after an offer has been made. This experience left me with a negative impression, as it felt like a waste of time and energy.
