      Javascript Developer Interview

      Jul 11, 2016
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Crossover for Work

      Interview

It started with a hackerrank test which I cleared. Then they gave a project which I built in react and I used react/redux/sagas and the top notch stack to build it and was done in 2.5 days (took a lot of effort). After 2 days of submission, I got a mail to schedule the interview and mentioned I have cleared the round. There was a calendar provided in which I had to book a time for the interview slot. I received this on friday and then there were no slots present for next whole week. So I mailed them to ask about the slots but I just got an email from their support stating, lets wait for interview to respond but he never did. I booked the earliest slot I could find which was 10 days later. The interview started with normal questions of introduction but it seemed that the guy who took my interview had no idea about React. He asked me to code basic functions like isPalindrome, I felt like i am back in college days. He kept asking literally very basic questions. And finally he emailed the rejection with the point that there were no animations used in my project. (Wow! Atleast please provide a better reason.) @Crossover management: Please hire better people to take interviews or you would keep missing out good talent.
