Customer Service Representative (Work From Home) Interview

      Nov 14, 2021
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Baton Rouge, LA
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Cox Communications (Baton Rouge, LA) in Nov 2021

      Interview

When you apply, if they feel you’re a good fit they will send you an email for you to complete an assessment which has 3 parts (one part isn’t used against you). If you pass the assessment you will get an email about scheduling a phone interview with a recruiter. The email will also contain information about when training starts and what the hours and days of the training will be, starting pay, etc which is kind of misleading because if i didn’t get the job yet why are y’all giving me this information now? I feel like this information should be told to someone after they get hired/receive an offer for the job and accept it. it was kind of misleading because it can make you think you already got the job honestly, when you didn’t yet. The email looked exactly like a job offer email. If you do good with the phone interview they will offer to set up a virtual interview with a hiring manager. (not sure if this was because this was a wfh position or if they only do virtual interviews due to covid). They use the STAR method for the interview. Interview was ok, he basically asked me the same questions about 3 times just worded it a different way. the manager also kept it real and said that they’re basically focused on selling to customers. Said I would hear from them in 5 business days and I didn’t so I guess I didn’t get the job. not even an email saying we’re not considering you for this position or anything like that. i felt i did a good job with interview questions but i also felt like the manager didn’t care about my answers because i feel like they are mainly looking for people who have experience in sales (which i have little experience in) so if you have little to no experience in this area like me you will most likely not get the job.
