CoreHR interview questions

Applied via recruitment agency. Arrived at their London office to be interviewed by Charlie. The interview itself was relaxed and straight forward. However, when I asked the interviewer as to whether he had any reservations about myself and what the following steps of the process are I was supplied with fabrication and false hope. Instead of responding with any permentation of "We'll get back to you/unsuccessful" I was told I would be contacted by another member of their team for a final screening and subsequently by HR to only later find out they had no intention of doing this.

Had a call with the recruiter to arrange the interview. Interview happened roughly two weeks before Christmas. I was happy with how things went. I met two managers, one of which I would've been directly reporting to. The interview itself was very encouraging and I connected well with them. I felt happy with it all. I was told that it was so close to the Christmas holidays that a decision wouldn't be made until the new year and they would contact me in early January. That was completely understandable as I know how things slow down in recruitment around that time of year. Heard nothing for over 5 weeks so I emailed the recruiter for an update in late January. No surprise at this stage, nothing back. Roll on nearly to mid February and I still heard nothing from anyone at Core HR. My referral let me know they announced the successful candidate. Only for that, I'd still be waiting. It was really good up until after the interview. The follow-up process was ridiculous and poorly handled.
