Very unprofessional company. I have waited many months to write this review so I could be sure that I was level headed when writing it. I had a mostly smooth interview process, was given an offer, agreed on a start date and salary, only to be called the next day by their director of HR to have the offer retracted (which ended up being fine, as it was never my first choice.) I have spoken to many professionals in the field and this was the first time any of them had heard of such an outrageous act. Thankfully, I work for a large hospital system and their associated foundation in Beverly Hills now and received my offer from this company the following day. COPE should seriously look into it's hiring process as their conduct was absolutely unprofessional and borderline illegal (per attorney).
Their company culture is also atrocious. During an interview I was essentially told that if I had loved ones or other important things in my life that this wasn't the company for me. I understand the mantra of work hard, play hard...however COPE's culture is ridiculous.
All in all I am so thankful that I did not end up working here. Do yourself a favour and look for work elsewhere. Los Angeles has many options for health care, don't make COPE one of yours.
