I was called by a recruiter who I previously spoke to a month prior, they had a job opportunity and thought I would be a great match.
They wanted an in person interview with me for the following day which I said I could only do mid day due to me working till 1am tonight.
I then had another call asking if I would be able to do 10am due to the CEO being in a meeting later on, I agreed that 10 would be fine.
The next day I had booked a taxi and arrived, I was greeted by the recruiter and CEO then taken into a office, it was a 2 minute conversation till she left the room and came back to tell me they could not proceed with the interview due to the CEO being in a customer call ( despite me shaking his hands 2 minutes ago ).
I was more than understanding and said I could get a coffee and wait around although they was very persistent on me not waiting, I explained I had got a taxi here, its raining and would like the chance for an interview but they still said no and would give me a call Monday.
I received no phone call so after a week I wrote an email explaining my disappointment for their lack of professionalism, I had no choice but to feel there was a ulterior motive. Despite asking for a response,
I had no reply and no offer to reimburse my taxi.
