Had 6 interviews with Cooledge Lighting: 2 by phone and 4 in person. The process included a 30-minute phone screening, a 60-minute virtual interview, and then two back-to-back 1-hour in-person interviews. After that, I was called in for two more back-to-back 30-minute interviews.
The entire process felt repetitive and inefficient—they could have easily consolidated it into a panel interview. It showed a lack of respect for the applicant’s time, which became even more evident with the poor communication afterward.
I followed up a week after the final interview and was told they would get back to me. When I followed up again the next week, I received a generic, AI-like rejection response. It seemed like they delayed informing me until they secured another candidate, which felt unprofessional and disrespectful.
Overall, the experience was frustrating and left me feeling undervalued as an applicant.
