First round: HR interviewer that reached out was fast, first chat only lasted 10-15 mins which surprised me.
Second round: Met with the hiring manager, went OK.
Third round: Similar to another story here, the interviewer did not show up - not professional at all. HR said there was a 'tech glitch' and that we were both waiting for the call to begin but after further reflection, I don't believe that was the case. He likely joined another zoom call by mistake and she was covering for him. Rescheduled interview. Interviewer showed up for rescheduled interview - asked some microscopic questions about a job six years ago and made some assumptions, which felt strange for a senior leader. Did not take the time to read my LinkedIn properly. I am more used to thinking big picture and strategy, and expected questions around how to move the business forward but he got hung up on some details.
Did not progress, which is OK. The interview process seemed very long - 7 rounds including a take-home presentation and 10 references - which in itself is a red flag.
After being passed on, received a mass automated LinkedIn outreach email from the recruiter about the role. Definitely disorganized.
