I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Competiscan (Chicago, IL)
Interview
First, a phone or zoom interview. This was followed by in person with leadership within the company.
Overall a good experience interviewing with them, however, they stressed that this would not be a “fun” place to work like Google or Uber. They said “if you’re looking to have a work bestie, this won’t be the place”. Odd thing to mention in my opinion.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
How do you handle communication with your supervisors?
It was extremely professional and engaging. They were patient and eager to educate about their methods and best practices. They were good about following up when I had questions. They did their homework. I was interviewed by two people. They seemed intent on finding someone who would contribute positively to their company culture.

Question 1
They seemed impressed whenever I followed up with intelligent, researched questions.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Competiscan
Interview
Process included two phone interviews, followed by an in-person interview where I was asked to bring samples of my work, an online personality test, an online intelligence test, a creative assignment, and a final phone interview with the CEO. With all of this work, one would think that the position offered high pay, but it was well below market rate and I declined the offer. Was a little shocked at how many hoops they had asked me to jump through for a such a low salary. Further, after being put through the ringer, the offer was for a "90 day introductory period". To me, this showed that they are almost incapable of making a decision and feeling confident in that decision. They should know enough about a candidate after going through all of those steps to extend a standard job offer without a 90-day clause.
Anyhow, after I rejected the offer, the hiring manager asked to speak with me on the phone. The next day, he emailed again to cancel our conversation and basically sent me their standard template rejection email. Which is funny because I am the one who rejected an offer from them, not the other way around. My conclusion on this is that A) the company is a little bit delusional to make potential employees jump through so many hoops for such a mediocre job and B) they needed to pretend like they rejected me to boost their own ego. Anyhow, it was bizarre to say the least and I would recommend staying away from these guys! They are kind of arrogant and very out of touch with reality.
