The hiring manager was friendly but appeared to be in a rush. She sputtered and wrapped up the conversation without giving me time to ask my questions, saying that she had a meeting and needed to go. Before she hung up, she said she would talk to her team about the next steps and get back to me in a few days. A week later, after I didn't hear back from them, I contacted the recruiter and the hiring manager to follow up on the next steps. None of them responded. Exactly one month after this email, I received a rejection email from the recruiter saying they had a competitive pool. Incredibly unprofessional and an absolute waste of time. Avoid this company or this team if you can. They basically waited to offer the job to someone else and then reached out to the rest of their shortlist. They prioritize internal candidates and don't care about external applicants.
