Recruiter reached out and set up a phone screen. During the phone screen we discussed experience, education and compensation expectations. Phone screen went well and recruiter asked me if I would be interested in moving forward. I was inclined and interested and this made me excited about the prospects. After a week of not hearing from the recruiter I decided to reach out. I was left without a response. I applied for the role and almost 3 months later received a turn down e-mail. I was surprised a company who sounded so interested would ghost a potential candidate especially after leading them to believe they were interested.
