I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Cole & Weber (Seattle, WA) in Feb 2015
Interview
I arrived on time for the interview, but had to wait around for about 15 minutes. Someone came to pick me up, and during our half an hour screening process we moved interview locations 3 different times. Everyone seemed nice, the interview seemed to go great and then I never heard from Cole & Weber again. I found out that the role had been filled by doing a search on LinkedIn weeks later.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Cole & Weber
Interview
The office is on the keycard-access-only 6th floor so you'll have to check in on the 5th floor and wait for the interviewer to come down and escort you back up. The office environment is fairly modern, focused, and very open. Dress is "agency hip / casual" so a tie during a normal work day would be overdoing it. I wore a sweater, khakis and a tie and nobody snickered at me. They do their research on you before you show up so most of it feels like they're deciphering if your personality would fit the rest of the team. They are laid back but passionate about what they do. Everyone is fairly specialized and usually the best of the best. If you're coming from a recruiter, they will have already broken down your skills to the hiring manager so it's a great time to tell a story about a previous experience to show your personality. They deal with clients in the food and beverage industries, education, lottery, seafood, and entertainment industries but they're always looking for new business in many different industries including apparel, and women-focused brands. If you have experience in any of these industries, highlight those in your interview.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
No real truth-busters. Really casual. Interviewed with 2 managers at separate times and both were really relaxed and personable.
The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Cole & Weber in Apr 2008
Interview
The interview process was very casual, but don't be fooled. The folks interviewing are very perceptive and pick up on every nuance that you say. The process in general was too long and involved too many people for such a small organization. Overall though, the people were really fun and easy to talk to.
