Interviewed for this position after cold-calling in person with my resume. Checked back for a few weeks, and finally was called in to interview. The three people I interviewed with were very pleasant. I brought with me a portfolio and everything seemed great. I emailed with a follow up that night. After about a week, I received an email asking me to come back in for a second tier interview with the Department head and the CEO. I brought my portfolio once again, showed up early, and had the interview. It went well in my opinion and the following days I was in daily contact with the Dept. head. I was informed that they had narrowed the process down to myself and one other candidate. A couple days later I was asked to supply my three previous salaries and supervisor names + numbers. I supplied this and was contacted by all three references stating that they had given great reviews of my skills and performance, and wished me good luck. I believed I was a shoe-in for this position, and awaited an offer. After a couple of weeks of silence, I reached out to the Dept. head and asked about the status of the hiring process and she told me they were swinging into show season and that the HR Manager (also the events coordinator) was becoming real busy. I check back after another week, then two weeks, then another month. I was really hoping to land this job and was given the same response, sorry, hopefully next week we can get everyone together to make a decision. After a couple of months, no one responds at all. I made sure to space out my outreach to maintain professionality. I am pretty annoyed to have taken so much time to try and get this job that I could easily excel at, to be brushed off as someone who doesn't even deserve a response.
