I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Cogs Agency (Singapore) in Jul 2018
Interview
The interview experience was terrible by their internal recruiter from Cogs. It felt like an interrogation. Not only was she unprofessional, she went on to Linkedin post-interview and created a post about just ending a phone conversation with a candidate and went on with disparaging remarks.
Recommendation to Cogs, train your recruiters to treat potential candidates with respect and ask the right interview questions, not have an interrogation. An interview process should not be abusive.
I applied for a studio manager role through Cogs sister agency, Anew and had a terrible experience. On the back of my application I was asked to come in and discuss the role. I felt like there was never any intention of discussing this opportunity with me. The whole meeting was a shambles, I was passed over to meet with somebody else, which was completely sprung on him as well to be fair, to talk about a role which was completely different to the one I applied for. It was only when I mentioned the role that I had been asked to go in and discuss that I was hurriedly told that this role had been filled almost immediately. I am unsure then why I was asked to go in an discuss this role which had been initially advertised 14 days prior. It was a total waste of time and I felt very disrespected. I was told that for these kind of roles I would be an outside option. Fair enough but don't get me to spend my time coming in to meet people to discuss a specific opportunity when I could have been told this over the phone or email. I used to work in creative recruitment myself and I would not have treated someone in this way.
