I applied through university. I interviewed at Cognizant in Sep 2021
Interview
he interviewer arrived. Only 2 persons, I and the interviewer were present in the call. He introduced himself and asked for my introduction as well. Then he moved on to some questions.
Asked about one of my projects. Explained to him thoroughly. He was satisfied with my answer.
Asked about OOPs concepts like polymorphism, threading, etc. Answered.
Asked to write the logic for 2 programming questions given by him.
Calculate the sum of the elements in an even index as well as odd index of an array and print the difference between them.
In a character string, print the frequency of repetitive characters. (I gave him a bubble sort kind of logic, he was quite happy and satisfied).
Then he gave me 2 aptitude questions to solve which were quite easy. One was based on ages and the other was based on work and time.
This was all for the technical interview. He asked me whether I have any questions for him, asked him a couple of questions and he answered them nicely. This round lasted for 25-30 minutes.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Cognizant (Dallas, TX) in Oct 2023
Interview
Two rounds of interviews. First round consists of a 45 minute technical assessment ( multiple choice questions) and prerecorded video interviews. Second round is 45 mins live technical interview on Teams. Both rounds were pretty easy. Did my first round on 10/11. Heard back from the recruiter on 10/26 and had my second interview scheduled on 10/31. Received both verbal and written offers on 11/2.
I applied online. I interviewed at Cognizant in Dec 2022
Interview
The interview was very unprofessional. The Interviewer did not turn his camera on and his microphone was barely working. The questions where pretty easy and almost no actual coding was tested.

Question 1
Can you explain the software development life cycle?
The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Cognizant
Interview
I heard back 5-7 weeks after applying. The first round consisted of a section on multiple choice technical questions and another section doing pre-recorded interview questions. Both sections were timed separately and the limit was a cumulative of 80 minutes. I heard back 10-14 days later to proceed to the second and last round. The final round was a ~1 hour technical video interview with a professional. The discussion was an overview of the company, the workings of a project I completed, and some simple programming questions with implementation.
