I applied through university. I interviewed at Cognizant (Chennai) in May 2009
Interview
It was a campus recruitment. As they all go, I was selected for an interview through an analytical exam which I would say was averagely difficult. You must be prepared for the exam and make sure you get a good score as it does weigh heavily in their hiring decision. The interview it self was very straight forward and was mostly behavioral in nature. But I heard from my friends that they do ask technical questions so be prepared for Computer Science related subjects. People are nice and make you very comfortable in the interview so do not be tensed about it. I was selected and my suggestion to would be to be calm and prepare for the quantitative exam and computer science technical questions.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
He asked my what my negative points were and immediately followed up with a question on what I am doing to come over it.
The interview was primarily technical, concentrating on C#, .NET, SQL, and API concepts. Questions tested understanding of core principles and practical application. The process was straightforward, professional, and focused on technical depth.
I applied online and got a calll back, had 4 rounds in total. first was a behavioral phone call just casual talks about your skills and when can you start working and general questions, then two coding rounds in hackerrank - was asked to code in java although the job was for python and finally HR.
3 rounds of interviews with a technical interview. The technical interview involved questions on Java and sql. They were mildly difficult. The first 2 rounds were not so difficult, lots of situational judgement questions
