Interview
This firm is stuck in 1992. First I had a phone interview, which went fine. Then I met with another HR rep for an in-person interview, which was quite frankly demeaning and a waste of time. Before the interview, I had to fill out a paper application which was just my resume reformated for a world stuck in the first Bush administration (they asked how many years of internet experience I had). Then I had to undergo a series of exams that were irrelevant to the posted job, with no notice that this part of their process. To cap it off, the HR rep made no effort to even glance at my resume, repeatedly referring to a job that I never had and was not listed on my resume. The questions they asked were very boilerplate, probably also from 1992.
The interview process was straight forward. Met with HR and was asked the usual questions. They provide you with all the information for the test so if you review it, then the test is easy.

I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Codilis & Associates PC (Burr Ridge, IL) in Aug 2019
Interview
The day after I sent in my application I received a call from an HR person. After a brief phone screen, I scheduled an interview for the following day. The interview was easy - basic questions about my experience and a few simple assessments. I was told that I would hear back within the next week about whether or not I would be moving to the next step in the hiring process, but instead I heard nothing. After two weeks I emailed the person who had conducted my interview and received a generic "thanks but we found someone better" email. I understand that the onus is usually on the applicant to request information about the status of the hiring process, but I find the way this was handled to be extremely unprofessional. Specifically telling an applicant that you will get back to them in a certain time and then "ghosting" them is unacceptable. What kind of standards does this place have? I doubt very much that this was a result of them having a large volume of applicants given the way they were able to bring me in for an interview less than 48 hours after I sent in my resume. In any event, I am grateful not to have been offered a job because I doubt very much that employees here are treated as anything other than a disposable commodity. A quick glance at the company reviews basically confirms that.
