Discussion, followed by shadowing. I met the Nurse Manager, the ANM, and then shadowed a floor nurse. I learned about the unit culture, the staffing ratios, the philosophy on health of the unit and care for people and patients. I learned about the hospital and the wider community as an ecosystem, and the opportunities there.
